BCYF Paris Street Community Center

Our mission is to strengthen Boston youth and families in their pursuit of
success through meaningful relationships, essential programs, and vital
community resources.

1. Assist staff with youth sports, recreation programs, clinics, practices, open gym, leagues, and special events, including age-appropriate drills, games, activities, and recreational programs. Sports may include basketball, futsal, flag football, volleyball, and more.
2. Assist with program setup, supervision, participant engagement, and cleanup/breakdown for recreational, athletic, and enrichment activities and tournaments and community events. Organize, distribute, collect, and properly store athletic equipment. Help maintain a safe, clear, organized gymnasium and fitness center.
3. Serve as a positive role model by providing welcoming, inclusive, and respectful assistance to youth participants and families.
4. Some youth staff at some BCYF sites may participate in some but not all the activities listed here; some may be assigned to multiple roles throughout the year, including facilities/front desk and program assistant.
5. Participate in civic engagement and city beautification activities efforts of the Boston City Youth Corps

Ideal Candidate:
Energetic and passionate about teaching children.
Interested in promoting active lifestyles and community engagement.
Able to work collaboratively with a team and independently when required.
Previous experience with youth programs, cycling education, or community outreach is a plus.
Willing to assist the custodial and building services staff with general facility maintenance.
Demonstrates flexibility in scheduling.
Bilingual youth are encouraged to apply.
